Welcome.

On 6th April 2007 a very small piece of lawn was dug up, and a raised bed was made. It was sown with a few rows of vegetables. Late in 2009 we gained an half an allotment (plot 54B). What happens next??

Harvests

No photos I'm afraid, I just forgot to take any.

This last week or so has been very busy with weeding after the long awaited rain, and we're now also into harvest season.

In addition to lettuce and radishes from the plot and the greenhouse, we are regularly harvesting cabbage, peas and broad beans. I have been eating the odd strawberry over the last week, but today enough have made it home for our pudding later this afternoon. I also brought home some purple sprouting broccoli and calabrese.

A video tour of the greenhouse.

Exciting stuff eh?

On your tour you may have seen begonias, peppers, more peppers, aubergines, melons potatoes, various strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, and other assorted salads.

A May Tidy Up

After nearly eight weeks of very little rain we have finally had a few downpours.

The weeds have made good use of the rain, so a few long weeding sessions have been necessary.

Like everyone else on the allotments, I've taken a gamble and put most of the beans in.

A Walk in the Park

Nothing to do with plot 54b, but last week I explored a part of the park I'd never noticed before!
